Once Everything has been removed it's time to clean those neglected spaces thoroughly. Crumbs, spilled spices, lost  recipes and unknown sticky ickys will all be found in these nooks and crannies.  Once cleaned, consider a liner on each shelf or maybe even some paint to brighten up those dark inner drawers.

Here is where it gets really fun

  • Food - Placed high or in a pantry.  Be sure to dispose of the expired and toss the stuff you don't plan on using again.

  • Food Preparation - These are your cooking, baking and small appliances.  Separate your cooking from your baking materials and store them separately.  Cooking utensils are kept closer to the stove - pots in cabinets near the oven.or stove top.  Small appliances should be stored out of sight when not in use.

  • Storage Containers - How much mismatched plastic do you have?  Match the containers with lids, THROW OUT the rest.

  • Eating Tools - Keep these together in drawers closest to your common eating area.  Plates, cups and glasses are usually located above or near the sink. Try to downsize here to what is usedonly .

The goal here is to create space as well as organize - not                     just move things around.
